LEXINGTON, KY--The O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will be in action Labor Day Weekend with a special event at the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY on Saturday Night, September 4. The Lucas Oil A-Main will pay $3000 to win and see a complete show ran with Racing Optics/Russell Baker Racing Engines Time Trials, the Crown Spray Power Heat races, the O'Reilly Auto Parts B-Mains and the 40 lap Lucas Oil Feature race. The O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass event at Clinton County Speedway scheduled for September 3 has been removed from the schedule.

As the third season of excellent O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series competition winds down who will be the driver that joins Eddie Carrier, Jr. and Mike Marlar as series champions? With 18 races in the books and 13 different event winners the season point’s championship is coming down to three drivers. Aaron Hatton, Tyrel Todd and Johnny Wheeler head into the Richmond race looking to gain more points in the chase for the $10,000 to win championship. Hatton heads to the "Action Track" with a 200 point advantage over Todd with Wheeler 241 behind the points leader. The rest of the top ten is yet to be settled with all positions up for grabs. All three drivers have run well at Richmond in past BoB races, but none of them has yet to win a BoB sanctioned race at Richmond in the past three years. Richmond Raceway continues to be one of the most action packed tracks on the series schedule and this Saturday Night's event should be no exception.

Doug Smith currently leads the "Rookie of the Year" chase with a fourth place spot in the current point’s standings. Mike Jewell is fifth followed by Victor Lee, Dennis Selby, Brad Neat, Greg Johnson and Spensor Watson with Michael England just outside the top ten in 11th position.

With Smith on top of the rookie standings this late in the season Selby, Watson and England are his main competition for the title as one of those drivers will join Bobby Wolter, Jr. and Mike Marlar as O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Rookie of the Year Award Winners.
