(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) Rick Eckert and the Raye Vest Racing team will be back
in competition with the ultra-competitive World of Outlaws Late Model Series
this weekend, as he will be at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA on
Friday and Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD the following night. Both
WoO Late Model Series events will pay $10,000 to the winner. You can learn
more about these two events by logging on the WoO website at
www.worldofoutlawslatemodelseries.com.

Rick is coming off a weekend that he would like to forget, as he dropped a
couple of positions in the WoO Late Model Series point standings after the
two events at the Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, TX. The weekend started
off good, as Rick set the fastest time in qualifying for the $5,000 show on
Friday night. He went on to finish third in his heat race to earn a spot
into the main event. The track would take rubber early on in the feature
and Rick was relegated to remain around his starting spot. He wound up
finishing a respectable eighth place when the checkered flags fell over the
field.

Saturday night brought worse fortune for the driver of the Raye Vest / J&J
Steel #24 Rocket / Cornett Ford Taurus. Rick started eighth and had
advanced to fifth early on in the race when the pinion broke in the rear
end, causing Rick to head pit side for the evening. He ended up finishing
23rd in the $12,000 to win, WoO-sanctioned event. Rick currently finds
himself tied for fifth in the WoO Late Model Series point standings after
nine events.

"We didn't have the best of luck down in Texas," said the likable
personality out of York, PA on Tuesday. "Our car was decent on Friday
night, but the track was bolted down and you just couldn't pass. Then on
Saturday, our car was actually pretty good. We rolled by some cars early on
and the track stayed racy for most of the race. We just broke the pinion in
the rear end that was it for the night. Hopefully, we can have some strong
runs this weekend up in our area at Lernerville and Hagerstown."

"The way the point system is in the World of Outlaws Series, it is going to
be hard for anyone to pull away. That is good if you have a weekend like we
had last weekend at Texas, but it is a bad thing if you are on a roll and
running up front every night. Everyone is going to have their bad night's,
so it will all shake out in the end."
