(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) Rick Eckert Racing attended the Hoosier 100 this past
weekend at the Atomic Motor Speedway, outside of Knoxville, TN. Rick won
his heat race and finished second in his dash on Saturday to qualify for the
40-lap, $5,000 to win World of Outlaw Late Model Series feature event. The
Raye Vest / J&J Steel #24 Rocket / Cornett Ford Taurus ran a solid fourth in
the feature event at the speedy 1/3-mile, high-banked oval.

Rick and the team did not have as good of fortunes in the Sunday portion of
the Hoosier 100. The #24 did not qualify as well as the previous day and
that put Rick in a bad position all day long. He could only muster a
seventh place finish in his heat and a tenth place run in his consolation
event. This meant that Rick had to take a provisional to get into the
$12,000 to win WoO Late Model Series-sanctioned event. Scrub rolled off
23rd in the 60-lapper and came up to finish in the 13th spot. Rick is
currently tied for second in the current WoO Late Model Series point
standings after six events.

"Our car was just not as good as it needed to be all weekend long," said
Rick on Monday night. "Even though we finished fourth on Saturday, we were
not that good. It was hard to pass all weekend long and we started up front
that day. Then on Sunday, I just did not get qualified good and that hurt
us the rest of the day."

Challenger Raceway in Indiana, PA will be the next stop for the Raye Vest
Racing team and driver Rick Eckert. The $5,000 to win Spring Fest is
scheduled for this Sunday, with a practice session on tap for Saturday. For
