Art Harris previous owner of the Sportsman and Late Model # 43 passed away yesterday. Art was the father of Mike "Hollywood" Harris driver of the # 43. RIP Art you will be missed. The visitation will be held this Thursday, May 28th at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights from 4-8 pm

Art sold me my first race car and every time I saw him at the track since we always got to talk for at least a few minutes. I really enjoyed talking with him every time! He was a great guy!
 
One of the first people I met when I moved down here and he was always smiling if when me and Mike got together in hotlaps.
 
This is sad and I will miss him. Prayers to the family. He liked to pull my chain and I'll miss that.
 
Such a great guy. For those who never got to meet or know art, really missed out. Rest in peace old man!
