(Country Music Star To Play Concert Following NASCAR Truck Race)
Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway announced that country music star Rodney Atkins will wrap up the major event schedule as he performs a post-race concert following the Missouri/Illinois Dodger Dealers Ram Tough 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Saturday, September 1. Fans can purchase individual race tickets for this event and the entire 2007 major event schedule now.

Atkins has continued to blossom in the country music scene since signing a contract with Curb Records in 1997. After a slow start to his career, 2002 would prove to be a solid year as he notched a pair of Top 40 singles. In 2003, the single "Honesty (Write Me aList)" climbed into the Top 5, and Atkins' debut album, Honesty, was finally released.

Atkins' real breakthrough came in 2006 when his catchy single, "If You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)," gradually climbed all the way to No. 1 on Billboard's country airplay chart. 2007 has seen Atkins earn another #1 single as "Watching You" currently remains atop the charts for a fifth straight week.

Individual and season tickets are on sale now. Fans can purchase them by calling 866-35-SPEED (7-7333) during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 24/7 by logging onto www.gatewayraceway.com.
