Roger Long Makes It Four Winners In Four Nights At The Farmer City Raceway

Roger Long of Fithian took his first victory this year at the Farmer City Raceway and that makes it four different winners in four nights of racing for the Late Models on this fast ¼ mile track. After Long in the feature were Ryan Dauber of Eureka, Mark Anderson of Lexington, Eric Smith of Bloomington and Jason Feger of Bloomington.

Defending UMP Modified track champ Jeff Leka has been undefeated this season so far taking the checkered flag Friday. Al Crawley of Decatur, Kyle Byerline of Dawson, Marty Hiser of Decatur and Jim Farris of O’Dell round out the top five for the Modified cars. Sportsman winner went to Billy Nail of Decatur and following him to the checkered flag Darrell Dick of Mansfield, Rod Sandage of Bloomington, Jay Smithson of Elsworth and Loren Habercorn of Chatsworth rounding out the top five.

Next week we will run double features for the Street Stock cars, dash winner was Ken Sublon of Fisher and heat winners were Jim Quinn of Farmer City, Blake Shelley of Oakley and Brett Lessen of Clinton.


The Northern Allstars Late Model Touring Series will be at the Vermilion County Speedway this Sunday, April 25 with a $2000 to win feature. There will be full night of racing including the Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Super Streets and Street Stock divisions.
Gates will open at 4:00 p.m., Hot Laps at 6:00 p.m. and the racing action starts at 7:00 p.m. Adult admission is $15.00. For further information please call the track at 217-443-6588.
