The Farmer City Raceway had an exciting Friday night with over 150 cars in the pits and an excellent fireworks display put on for everyone. Roger Long of Fithian won the Late Model Feature, Eric Smith of Bloomington, Steve Hillard of Sadorus, Eric Kwasigroh of East Peoria, and Gary May of Minook round out the top five. Modified winner was Jeff Leka of Buffalo, behind him were Rocky Griffin of Bloomington, Don Kiger of Oakwood, Jerry Huffman of Maroa, and Wes O’Dell of Springfield. Street stock feature winner was Brett Lessen of Clinton and behind him was Jason Unzicker of El Paso and Blake Shelly of Casner.
This was the second night of the season for the Hornets at the Farmer City Raceway, feature winners were Scott Williams of Colfax, Larry Reynolds of Fisher, Tom Eskew of Springfield and Doug Walker of Fisher.
The racing action will continue next Friday night at the Farmer City Raceway with the Summernationls series making their stop at the track. With a $10,000 to win feature event for the Late Models it is sure to be great night of racing.
