I don't know maybe it's just me, but over the years that ive been going to sfcr which is from 1990 til present, i've watched ronnie and i noticed that from 91 til about 96 or 97 he was a rocket. back in the early 90's ronnie was very fast back when he was in the ol black #10 you'd see him battling with jason smith, tim montgomery, tony weyant, rod holiday, his brother robbie, joey nash and among others. Ronnie used to always be the man to beat. What happend? Now days you hardly ever even see him at sfcr anymore. When you do see him at sfcr he doesn't do real well like he used to. I'm not knocking the guy or nothing cause i'm a big fan of his, i just don't know what happend. Does age come into conflict? or is it the big thing which is money? (you know to buy the best equipment) maybe he's cursed, maybe he needs to go back to the ol black paint scheme with the pink #10. like the good ol days! but all in all ronnie standrige is a driver that has won respect from alot of people and if i were to nominate a driver for the wall of fame i'd nominate him.

you

people that have been going to sfcr for along time, should know what i'm talking about. you people know as well that ronnie standrige was a very fast driver in the early to mid 90's. I just don't really konw what has happend? (not saying that he isn't fast now, just don't think he's quite as fast as he used to be) do you people know what i mean?

I don't know for sure but for a couple years Ronnie was concentrating more on helping his son Jeremy with his racing. But now that he's started driving again, I don't think that he races as much as he used to. I'm sure that the expense of sprint car racing isn't easy to keep up with either though.

I've known Ronnie and Robbie for a very long time in my mind they are the best in the area Ronnie is still fast in 2002 i remember about three or for weeks in a row he finished second right behind the Montgomery . I have learned alot about sprint from the Standridges and i'm proud to be able to race with them and call them friends

sprint20m

i wasn't knocking ronnie, i mean i'm a fan of his also. i just wonder how come we never see ronnie at sfcr hardly. and if we do see him he's helping jeremy. just more less sayin, i wish we could see more of ronnie racing.

Ronnie Standridge was my favorite driver for a few years. No one was smoother and better in traffic than he. Ronnie was a class act who raced everyone clean and was a threat to win anywhere he unloaded. He was quiet but friendly at the track. He was just a lot of fun to watch.

I can still remember what was maybe the best race I ever saw at SFCR. Ronnie and Mike Ward on the front row. Mike pulled a big wheelie on the start allowing Ronnie to beat him to the corner. In a race that had 0 cautions, the two raced nose to tail, in and out of traffic, top and bottom. Neither guy bobbled. Never more than a car length separated the two. The entire crowd was on its feet the last 10 laps going crazy. After 25 breathtaking laps Ronnie beat Mike under the checkers by the same car length he had gained at the start. It was an amazing display of driving by two of the best to ever make laps at SFCR. I don't even remember what year it was but I still rank it as one of the 5 best races I have ever seen.

yes...

i think i remember that race as well, that was back when ronnie had his black car. and as you said everyone was on their feet coming to the end of that race. that was truly one of the best races i ever seen as well. and that's what my whole point is on this subject is that ronnie was always a rocket, and i just wish we could see more of him racing again. just kinda sad not seeing him flying around sfcr anymore. maybe we will this year, but i kinda doubt it. actually dont really see much of any of the standridges anymore like we used to. i remember when ronnie, robbie and randy was all there racing one night, i think it was at one of the big shows.
