NEW FLORENCE, Mo. -- (July 5, 2003) Rick Ruch of Perryville increased his points lead in the Racing Association of Mini Stocks (RAMS) Points Series by edging Marty Boyer of Potosi in the series feature Saturday night at the Montgomery County Speedway.
It was the RAMS first trip to the track and both heat races and the feature all provided down to the wire finishes and plenty of excitement. Dave "The Wolf" Wofford of Farmington captured third place in the feature.
The night also featured the first-ever victory of 15-year-old Mike Myer of Sikeston in his Ford Mustang in the first heat race. Despite his young age, Myer has been driving the same car for three seasons and is now in fourth place overall in the RAMS Points Series race.
