Gary Russell, Jim Roach, David Weitholder and Eddie Dieker all took feature event wins at Quincy Raceways Sunday night at the Gem City Ford Night at the Races in what looked like it should have been under a full moon with all the wacky events of the evening.

The Budweiser IMCA Late Model feature event started out with a huge crash on the first lap of competition. Jay Holler and Dustin Neece made contact in turn two after taking the green flag to start the 30 lap main event with Holler getting crossed up in front of the entire field. Gary Russell then got into the fray with Holler but kept his sheet metal damaged mount going but it was just a little more devastating behind him as Holler, Mike Karhoff, Justin Reed, Terry Gallaher, Mark Burgtorf, Brent Slocum and Jamie Wilson piled up to put the race under the Red Flag. Burgtorf and Slocum were able to continue with major sheet metal damage but the other cars had to retire to the pits for the rest of the main event. Gary Russell then took the lead from Jerry Allen on the second lap after the green flag flew to restart the main event. Russell pulled out to a comfortable lead until the late stages of the feature when Denny Woodworth made a charge to catch Russell but had to settle for the second spot with Russell taking the win. Brent Slocum rallied with his damaged car for third with Jason Krigbaum in fourth, Lonnie Bailey in fifth and Mark Burgtorf in sixth. Holler and Clint Kirkham took the heat race checkers while Jamie Wilson took home the hardware in the Summy Tire and Auto Center Trophy Dash.

Jim Roach grabbed the win in the Miller Lite A-Modified feature event by surviving several close calls with caution flags. Roach grabbed the lead away from Les Harding on the third circuit of the 20 lap feature and held off Henry Delonjay and Ryan Meyer to take the win. Delonjay held on for second with Meyer in third, Brandon Lennox in fourth and Ted Allen in fifth. Lennox and Roach took the heat race wins with Lennox also winning the P&S Auto and Truck Collision Repair Trophy Dash.

The B-Modified feature event was shortened to sixteen laps as the caution flag flew at least 6 times in the race. David Wietholder started the feature on the outside of the third row but took over the lead on the second lap and managed to avoid the carnage to take his second feature win of the season in the B-Mods. Wiethold held off Wyatt Lantz in second, Marty Hull in third, Joe Bliven in fourth and Terry Houston in fifth. Tony Dunker, A.J. Tournear, and Jim Leffew were the heat race winners.

Eddie Dieker took his fourth feature win of the 2003 season in the Bomber division as he charged through the field from his fifth row starting spot. Dieker grabbed the lead on the sixteenth circuit of the eighteen lap main event when Jeff Bates slid up the track and lost control. Dieker then held of Bobby Lewis on his way to the checkered flag. Lewis settled for second with Jeff Delonjay in third, Steve Carlin in fourth and Bates in fifth. Dieker, Carlin, Bates and Lewis all took heat race wins with Jeff Kindhart taking the win in the B-Main.
