Jackson, MI (4-27-07) Rusty Schlenk Racing competed in the first three nights in a row of ALMS/NALMS (American Late Model Series/Northern Allstars Late Model Series) series racing and came out on top of the points in both of them. The weekend consisted on one night of racing action and two nights of follow the leader junk.

Friday the 20th saw the team back at Kankakee Raceway where they were greeted by a track in perfect condition. Rusty finished the night with a strong 2nd place finish. "The track was racey from top to bottom. You could put the car wherever you wanted." is what he had to say after the nights event.

Saturday saw the team head to Kamp Speedway in Boswell, IN. What started as the perfect racing surface went the opposite way after qualifying. the track got severely dry and started to take rubber in the heats. Rusty started 9th in the Main and finished 5th. He was able to capture the "Hard Charger Award" for being the driver to pass the most cars. This would prove to be the night that Rusty ended up on top of the points race for both series.

Sunday the team were on to Vermillion Speedway in Danville, IL. Being a Sunday race and with the national touring series cars in the area some heavy hitters were there ready to "cherry pick" some fast cash. Rusty was ready to do something about that as he dropped the fastest lap of the night in qualifying to set fast time. After qualifying the past nights ghost haunted the place as the track got dry slick and one grooved. Rusty tried to drive the bottom in the heat and lost two positions quick. He ended up finishing 3rd. After finishing 9th in the main Rusty said " There really wasn't anything you could do out there except for sit in place and hope the guy in front of you made a mistake.".

All was not lost though as he extended his lead in the national points race for UMP and left the weekend with the points lead in both series. This weekend sees the team headed back to Kankakee and Fairbury Raceways for weekly UMP points racing.
