Loxley, AL (April 22, 2006) - Ryan Plaisance dominated the O'Reilly SUPR Late Model feature at Deep South Speedway, claiming his fourth career victory and his first of the season. Plaisance won the first heat and claimed the B&K Underground Top Qualifier award for his effort and started on the pole

The basis for his success tonight actually dates back to last season when Plaisance had a strong run end with motor trouble. "We were pretty good, we were pretty good here last time we were here but we broke the motor so we come back and gave it another shot." Plaisance and his crew have been making changes on the race car and felt the program was coming around and the effort paid off tonight with the 50-lap feature win. "We were real basic, just pretty smart about everything; we made the right tires choices."
Plaisance also credits the efforts of former O'Reilly SUPR competitor Sam Patrick and his Shock House suspension program and the support of his teammate Ray Grow.

In a race that played tightly to the script for the first 45-laps things turned into a free for all with tires blowing and contact started to occur.
Plaisance held firm in the lead with Mike Boland fending off Heath Oestricher with Doug Ingalls and Patrik Daniel rounding out the top five.
The top five held steady from lap two until lap 46.

On lap 46 as the field raced into turn three Oestricher shot underneath Boland in a battle for second, the hole closed and Oestricher's right front made contact with Boland's left rear and the ensuing contact put Boland on the trailer. The contact continued as tires began to fail with no more than five cars hitting pit road for a tire change in the closing stages of the race. The cautions shuffled the final running order with Jason Ingalls being the key beneficiary moving from eight to second while Oestricher bounced around falling back to fifth and moving back to third at the
checkers. Ingalls moved to second in the 2006 O'Reilly SUPR Late Model
National point standings on the strength of his second place finish. He trails 2004 O'Reilly SUPR Champion Rob Litton by 108 points.

Shep Lucas who was running seventh before the late race shuffle but moved up to fourth followed by Daniel, Creel Brothers Hard Charger Robbie Stuart, Ray Moore, Keith Craft and Brock Williams. Doug Ingalls crossed the line in tenth with a flat left rear, rounded out the top ten and the last car still on the lead lap.

28 O'Reilly SUPR Late Models were on hand. Ryan Plaisance, Patrik Daniel, Mike Boland and Heath Oestricher topped the heat race action and Robbie Stuart won the last chance race.
