SALINA, Kan. — A significant year end award is something not seen very often now days in the world of dirt track racing, especially not one as enticing as this.

An added incentive has been added to the mix at the Salina Speedway in 2014 for all IMCA sanctioned divisions.

Two crate motors (one 604, one 602) will be given away at the banquet to all eligible drivers. For drivers to be eligible they must not miss more than 1 race during the 2014 season and they must be present at the banquet. A random drawing will be held at the banquet to determine the winner of the motor.

All Belleville Motorsports IMCA Modified division eligible drivers will have a chance to win the 604 crate motor while all M&H Motors IMCA Northern SportMod and Budweiser IMCA Hobby Stock eligible drivers will be eligible to win the 602 crate motor. The SportMod and Hobby Stock drivers will be entered together for the 602 crate drawing.

Scoggin-Dickey Chevrolet will be the featured sponsor for the Crate Challenge. They offer many of today’s latest parts and crate motors, including a full line of GM racing-related and IMCA approved crate motors. For more information visit www.sdparts.com

The 2014 season will begin on Saturday April 19th with a practice session, followed by the season opener on Friday April 25th.
