Schrader, Lee, Reed top K&N Filters USCS MOD point standings after 4 races

Atlanta, GA - March 29, 2014 - NASCAR veteran driver and dirt track legend Ken Schrader from Concord, North Carolina stands at the top of the current K&N Filters USCS Modified Series point standings with 608 points after the first four nights of 2014 competition. Schrader has two feature wins that came on March 1st at Magnolia Motor Speedway and at Tennessee National Raceway on March 15th. He additionally finished in fourth place on Friday, March 14th at Tennessee National and had a third place finish during the March 22nd “Bootheel 200” final at Poplar Bluff Speedway. West Tennessee Modified top gun, Lucas Lee from Paris, Tennessee trails Schrader in second place just 21 points back with 587 points. Lee has two runner-up finishes plus a fourth and fifth place finish in the four events.

The only two-time and the2012 K&N Filters USCS Modified Series Champion, Ben Reed from Munford, Tennessee is just 12 points behind Lee in third place with 575 points. Reed’s best finish is a runner-up spot at Tennessee National on March 15th behind Schrader. Another West Tennessee driver, Preston Seratt from Dyersburg, Tennessee is in fourth place in the current standings with 551 points and Jon Gray from Jonesboro, Arkansas rounds out the top five drivers with 545 points.
Gray’s teammate, Jim Gulley from Paragould, Arkansas leads the next group pf drivers in sixth place with 502 points. 2009 USCS Modiifed series Rookie of the Year, Justin Roberts from Paragould, Arkansas is seventh in the standings with 470 points. Roberts who is followed by the 2009 USCS Modified Weekly Racing Series Champion, Matt Cooper from McKenzie, Tennessee, who has on win at Tennessee National Raceway on March 14th and has accumulated 447 points for eighth place. Michael Turner from Paris, Tennessee is in ninth place with 424 points and Josh Tomlin from Hayti, Missouri rounds out the top ten drivers with 423 points.

The next K&N Filters USCS Modified Series event for Outlaw open wheel Modifieds is set for Thursday, May 29th at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. The race is part of a USCS triple-header at the famed dirt oval adjacent to Talladega Super Speedway when the Modiifeds join the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars during Round #4 of the USCS Sprint Car Speedweek 2014.
