Scott Bloomquist headlines stellar field for Lucas Oil Show this Sunday at Tri-City!

Pontoon Beach, IL (July 17, 2006) The biggest name in dirt late model racing has confirmed his entry in the Miller Lite-Lucas Oil 75 that is being held on the lightning fast 1/2 mile oval at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL on Sunday, July 23rd! Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN has confirmed he will compete in the seventy-five lap event that will pay $10,000 to the winner.

Bloomquist isn't the only headlining name that will be in competition. Many other top late model drivers have also confirmed they will be on hand, including Brian Birkhofer who simply dominated the UMP Summer Nationals event at Tri-City Speedway on July 9th. Some other top competitors that will be on hand include Billy Moyer, Chub Frank, Earl Pearson, Jr., Donnie Moran, Scott James, Darren Miller, Matt Miller, Freddy Smith, Don O'Neal, Eric Jacobsen, Steve Francis, Tim McCreadie, Darrell Lanigan, Brady Smith and Chris Wall.

The winner of this event will earn $10,000 and last place in the twenty-four car starting field will earn $700.

There will be an autograph session with many of the top drivers from 4:00-4:45pm. There will be a special autograph session with Scott Bloomquist to help raise money for little Shelbie Parnell. Shelbie is a 3-month old little girl that needs a heart transplant.

Pit Gates Open: Noon
Grandstand Gates Open: 3:00pm
Autograph Session: 4:00 - 4:45pm
Hot Laps: 5:30pm
Qualifying: 6:30pm

Along with the Lucas Oil Late Models, the UMP Modifieds will be competing ont he 1/4 mile track with $1,000 going to the winner. The UMP Sportsman will also be battling on the 1/4 mile track.
