(BRIGHT, INDIANA) The "Silver Shark" Scott James and the Jam-Pow Motorsports team made the annual trek to the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the $100,000 to win 'Dream 100' last weekend. Scott started off the weekend by timing in eleventh fastest of the nearly 150 competitors in qualifying on Friday, June 9. The driver known as the “Silver Shark” rolled off fourth for his 15-lap heat race and wound up taking home the win in the preliminary event, which gave him the outside front row starting spot for the 100-lap feature event.

Scott lost the initial start of the mega-event to polesitter R.J. Conley, but quickly settled in second. R.J. paced the field for the first sixteen circuits before Scott took the lead of the ‘Dream 100’ on lap seventeen. The Bright, Indiana native worked the 1/2-mile, high-banked oval to perfection once out front of the star-studded field and led until lap ninety-four when Scott Bloomquist made the pass of Scott's #83 machine. The driver of the Powell Motorsports / Baylor Trucking / JamesArt Designs #83 Rocket / Jay Dickens GTO wound up finishing a solid second in the 'Dream 100' and collected a cool $20,000 for his efforts!

“It was a great night for us, but I would have loved to have won that 100 grand,” said an enthusiastic James this week. “It was my fault that we didn’t win, as I hit the wall on the backstretch and knocked probably a fifth of my spoiler off. When I had the entire spoiler, the car worked to perfection. A lot of people thought I abused my tires throughout the race by throwing all of those slide jobs and running as hard as I did, but the tires looked virtually new after the race. Even (Scott) Bloomquist came down after the race and was amazed at how good my tires looked. I have to congratulate Scott on his win, as he once again showed why he is the master of Dirt Late Model racing. Hopefully, our car is as strong in September at Eldora. I would love to make a serious challenge at those globes!”

The Jam-Pow Motorsports team will now set their sights on the annual ‘Masters’ weekend at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the PolyDome World Dirt Racing League (WDRL) will co-sanction the two $10,000 to win shows this weekend at the 3/8-mile dirt oval. Saturday’s portion of the exciting, dirt-slinging weekend will be taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for viewing at a later date. The 2005 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year comes into the two events at Cedar Lake fifth in the latest version of the 2006 point standings.
