Lebanon, Mo.- The Lebanon I-44 Speedway will be wrapping up a great season this weekend with the second annual Fall Shootout on Friday and Saturday night.

Over $80,000 will be up for grabs with $10,000 going to the winner of the 50-lap MARS Super Late Model Feature, which will pay $1,000 just to start! The Show Me Racing Series IMCA Late Models will also be on hand with $1,500 going to the winner of that feature. The always exciting Modified feature will pay $1,500 to win, Super Stocks and Factory Stocks $800 to win and $400 to win the Bomber feature.

The Lebanon I-44 Speedway will also be paying a special tribute to the greatest racecar driver of all time this weekend, Larry Phillips. Larry passed away Tuesday in his hometown of Springfield, Mo after a long battle with cancer. Larry put Southwest Missouri on the map, winning everywhere he went. He dominated on his home turf at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway and Bolivar Speedway in the late 80’s and 90’s, where he won 7 NASCAR Regional and 5 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series National Championships. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.

Larry’s son Terry Phillips is still expected to be on hand, hoping to wrap up his second MARS Championship and take home his first Fall Shootout Victory. Defending Fall Shootout and MARS Champion Bill Frye will be back to defend his crown. Phillips and Frye will be joined by many other superstars through out the entire Midwest including Lebanon’s own Brandon McCormick, Wendell Wallace, Jeff Taylor and many more!
