BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (June 21, 2003) Kevin "Grape Ape" Sellers of Arnold picked up both first place and top eliminator honors in the Stock Buggy class at Big River Sand Drags Saturday night. Gary Hollinsworth of Farmington captured second place. The win by Sellers was particularly impressive because of the sudden and rapid growth of the Stock Buggy class. Almost extinct a couple of years ago, the affordability and excitement of the class has led to it's return to greatness.

In the Off Road Modified class, Todd Dee of Leadwood was once again the top eliminator and first place winner while 14-year-old Josh Harris of Belgrade settled for second place.
In Vehicle ET, Brenda Smith of Mineral Point drove her buggy to a first place win, only to lose to second place finisher Gladys Edwards of Bonne Terre in the top eliminator race.

In Competition Eliminator, Chris Mackley of Bonne Terre drove "Barely Legal" to both top eliminator and first place honors while Bud Layton of Bismarck settled for second place.
In Super Pro ATV, Jason Waller of Bonne Terre captured first place, but it was second place finisher Blake Henderson of Salem, Ill. winning the top eliminator race.

In Pro ATV, Randall Hayes of Pilot Knob was the top eliminator and first place winner while Tony Pannell of Fenton took home second place.

In ATV-1, it was the brother and sister duo of Andrew Glatczak of Potosi and Allie Glatczak of Potosi finishing first and second respectively. Then in the top eliminator race it was Andrew picking up the victory on his 15th birthday.

In Junior ATV, for the sixth consecutive week, it was Garth Farris winning first place. He then won the top eliminator race over second place finisher Andrew Zack of High Ridge.

There is no racing at Big River Sand Drags this Saturday night. Racing will continue on Friday night, July 4th with a huge all ET racing event with racers expected in from all over the United States. There will also be a huge fireworks display that night beginning at 10 p.m. Racing will also be held on Saturday, July 5th with the track's regular racing program. For more information phone (573) 358-5009.
