Shop n Save would like to thank all the fans and drivers that turned out for their 2nd Annual Race Night For Special Champions. With your dedication and support this event will continue to grow. The total dollar amount is not been furnished but, it's certainly better than last year.

Congratulations to all the people that won some of the fabulous prizes. That money was well spent and goes to a great cause. We hope that Justin Allgaier enjoys his Jeff Gordon race car bed and Big Mike gets alot of enjoyment out of his scooter. Justin maybe Big Mike will trade ya.

Shop n Save would also like to thank the following: The Marler family, Ken Schrader, Laura Jones, Clay Baumann Racing Team, I-55 Raceway employees, Allied Auto Racing, The Talker Guy, and all the volunteers that assisted to make this a succesful event.

Well...I will speak for the fans:

Thanks to Shop n Save for posting the increased purse. The car count was awesome and so was the racing! Hope this stays as an annual event!! Great racing for a great cause.

Also, congrats to you Dennis....that Mod feature was very entertaining!
 
We had a GREAT TIME once again.. Nice Job Dennis on the whole deal...
Thought and was hoping you'd get the feature win for your sponsors but hey you looked MARV-O-LUS MAN! :D Good for you!!!!!
 
This is the type of thing that each track needs to have. The racing was good and the added events made the night fun. Keep it going and thanks to everyone that helped put it on.
A BIG thanks to Shop'n Save for coming up with the idea and the money.
Hope the cause was a big winner as well.
 
I ALSO WANT TO THANK ALL THE SPONSORS THAT MADE THIS NIGHT POSSIBLE. IT WAS GREAT AND I 'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR!

ALSO WOULD LIKE TO SEND A SPECIAL THANKS TO BRUCE BLACKDEN(WITH SHOP-N-SAVE). BRUCE WAS A MAJOR PLAYER IN PUTTING UP THE EXTRA MONEY FOR THE PAYOUT. THE DRIVERS GAVE HIM A NICE APPLAUSE AT THE DRIVERS MEETING, AND I APPLAUD HIM ON BEHALF OF US FANS! :clap: :clap: :)


I ALSO WANT TO SAY HOW PROUD I AM OF MY FRIEND DENNIS RICHARDS. AS ALL MAY ASSUME OR KNOW, THE PRESSURE WAS ON. HAVING SUCH A BIG NIGHT BEING BACKED BY HIS SPONSORS, DENNIS WANTED TO DO WELL FOR THEM. HE HAS HAD HIS UPS AND DOWNS THIS YEAR. BUT, WHEN HE NEEDED TO, HE STEP UP TO THE CHALLENGE. GOOD JOB DENNIS! KEEP IT UP!
 
It was a very fun night! Thanks to all who volunteered their time and effort to such a great cause!
