AMRA to host Late Models and Malta Modifieds

STEWART, OHIO- Billy Jarrell's Skyline Speedway will begin its 52nd season this Friday, April 13th, 2012 with a full slate of potent AMRA Late Models, Malta Doors and Windows AMRA Modifieds, and Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association 410 Sprint Cars. Friday the 13th hopes to be the lucky night for area fans and three lucky Skyline winners.
After a successful 2011 season the established 3/8 mile speedbowl looks forward to another banner season. Last year, over 35 late models was the average car count, while 25 modifieds and 18 sprint cars rounded out the line-up.
2012 looks to be another great season as the AMRA continues to grow and the fledgling OVSCA continues to build momentum as one of the top regional sprint car series in the nation.
Fans can expect the same excitement as previous years as the potent cars broadslide their way around the fast red-clay 3/8 mile oval. Several newcomers have come into the sport over the winter in all divisions, while some stars from other series have expressed interest in running for the 2012 Skyline crown.
Billy Jarrell, owner of the Skyline Speedway, has provided drivers one of the best point funds in the region, offering a new chassis to all division winners and a lucrative point fund for the top five point men.
Mini-wedges will join the race card at the end of May once school is out for the summer in most areas.
Admission is $15 for adults, $12 senior citizens, kids 12 and under free, and pit passes $30.
