PADUCAH, KY (September 24, 2006) - In response to the large volume of inquiries following Tony Stewart¹s recent statement on NASCAR RaceDay with Kenny Wallace declaring his enthusiasm as the newest partner into Paducah International Raceway, the owners of the popular McCracken County track wish to make the following statement:

We would like to go on record and clarify, first and foremost, that Tony Stewart has been a valuable ally & friend during our inaugural season at Paducah International Raceway. He has a genuine passion for this sport enjoys the competition and community at PIR. He has continually expressed interest in formalizing his involvement as a partner in the ownership of the track but none of the three current owners * Ken Schrader, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and Bob Sargent - were willing to leave the project and remain committed to their future plans for the track. Recently, provisions were made to welcome Stewart as a fourth partner in Paducah International Raceway. This expansion will only benefit the track, local community and dirt racing industry and we look forward to having Tony onboard. We are all committed to building upon the successes of this inaugural year and optimistic about the 2007 racing season.

PIR is currently Dale Earnhardt, Jr.¹s sole track interest but Ken Schrader is also co-owner of I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO, and Stewart is the owner of the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH. Stay tuned to http://www.paducahinternationalraceway.com for future updates and
exciting announcements about the 3/8-mile, high-banked oval & PIR's sister tracks.
