SMRS Midgets at Central Missouri Speedway

Home Depot will sponsor the featured Southern Midget Racing Series, SMRS at Central Missouri Speedway this Saturday night, June 2. The SMRS special event which will include the weekly Mighty Modifieds, ULMA Late Models, Street Stocks and B- Modifieds will be a thrilling addition to the already exciting racing action at CMS. Gates open at 5, hot laps at 7 and green flag racing starts at 7:30.

Special admission prices will be in effect for this weekend’s SMRS event. General admission will be $15, seniors 55 and over and students and military with ID are $12, children 6 to 12 are $10 and kids 5 and under are free. Pit passes for this weekend are back to $20.

Point’s races in each class are tight leading into this weekend with Aaron Marrant, Joe Walker and Terry Schultz leading the Mighty Modified division. In the ULMA Late Model class, Brett Rollert, Steven Clancy and Jon Binning are separated by just 6 points. The Street Stocks are led by Brain Johnson with several feature victories followed by Tammy Korff and Brett Nail. And the B-Modified class has Scotty Martin with multiple feature wins this year leading Michael Mullins and Ethan Issacs as they race their way up into contention

The B-Modifieds will be gearing up for their special race at CMS on June 9th on Senior Bring a Friend Night. Weather permitting; the B- Modified Drivers will be signing autographs at intermission. Seniors will receive a “FREE grandstand admission ticket” for a future race when they bring a friend into CMS for this special event.

You can receive the latest track information during CMS Track Talk on KOKO -1450 this Wednesday evening at 5:30 with an interview from SMRS - John Stewart, and on the CMS internet show via the Racinboys.com on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Also, on Fridays at 9:30 am on KSIS -1050 from Sedalia , you can hear the latest track results during the CMS Weekly Racing Update.
