Sn Race At Highland/ Finish

Sn Race At Highland/ Sportsman/Finish

It depends where you where at differant angle differant winner. The photo is about 10 feet in front of the line, I was 10 feet after the line ya cant pick the winner from either place. The girls set directly head on with the stripe and have the best view of the finish line. Ya always need to take this into consideration. I know that the scorers at Highland are fair and honest when doing their job. THEIR JOB!!!! And it is their Job not the flagmans, cornermans, scalemans, towtruck, cameramans, ect. The results are the results and it was a awsome race no matter who won are who you wanted to win. Fair is fair and they did make the right call on this. Hats off to all that raced. Steller of a show. and furthermore just like in Nascar, Schrader. If ya mess up ya go to the BIG RED TRUCK!! In this case ya go to the rear. :)

I Could Care Less What You Think Or Say Thornton Won That Race Even The Announcer Wouldnt Comment But You Could Tell He Thought So Too!!

Sorry but I talked to the announcer and he said Kleine won the race. So who took home the crome? Oh ya the winner. Its over so get over it. Someone wins hes happy someone looses hes not same deal everytime. All drivers drove a execellent race and should be proud of their efforts.

no the announcer said that it was a photo finish and when the photoman took thje picture showed it to charlie and the other official he got yelled at whats up with that i sat right in front of the flag pole and thorton won by at least 1 foot if u dont believe me look at www.leemanphoto.com

you can't even see the flagstand in the pic if they are ten feet away the #2 should have won he has more speed coming off the top side, and thats who they gave the win to so I would say it's a good call put that only going off the pic I was sitting in turn 4

Well after looking at the picture, I tend to lean to the bright yellow car. I'm not sure who the drivers are but the picture is at an angle, so that could also make a difference.

In my experience the brighter colored car usually stands out more to the scorers.
So the Trashdog tip of the day is to go with the bright colored noses over the black ones.

Now someone tell me if I'm right, who won the yellow car or the black one?

that photo you are showing is j u n k it is not at the finish line... if that was taken to judge judy her reply would be "are you kidding me??" and thrown you out of the court room lol that photo is not worth a dime just face it..

Close calls at the line and who passed who before the yellow came out have always been and always will be a part of racing. We don't use instant replay and never will because we would be at the track till way past midnight if they ever tried it. Just look at the NFL. I don't always agree with the scorers but I respect their calls because I have been in the booth during time trials and realize that their view is the best in the house and they are several dozen Budweisers behind all of the other experts who just know they blew the call. I had to leave after the Modified feature but I did see the photo. Since the flag stand was not in the picture, the photogragher had to be on the side of the booth closest to the pits which means he was ten to fifteen feet from the line and the photo had quite a bit of angle towards the corner. Anyone who has watched very much racing at Highland knows that the car on the high side picks more momentum out of the corner than the one on the low side. Therefore, I will go with the official call. I really hate to see two controversial calls overshadow a great night of racing. It was great to see the Summer Nationals tour return to Highland.
