Tim McCreadie, son of legendary Big Block Modified racer BAREFOOT Bob McCreadie, picked up his largest career Super Late Model win in the $25,000. double points National RANKINGS Topless 100 event at the Batesville (AR) Speedway, Saturday night. The # 39 'Sweetners Plus, Weld Racing, Sunoco Race Fuels' sponsored Rocket / Pro Power racing engines former World of Outlaw Late Model series and former Chili-Bowl (midget sprints) champion hasn't seen victory in a MEGA MONEY event, until now, and the New York native did it in high style, leading all 100 laps. The tallied event puts McCreadie to the 10th ranked position as many teams head towards the Volunteer State for a mid-week Tennessee Two-Step. Brian Birkhofer also faired well in the Ozarks Classic, finish second, which garnered the Mars Car driver enough points to break into the Top 5 in the National RANKINGS standings. Defending series champ the KENTUCKY COLONEL and the rest of the WoOLM series bunch were in Southern RANKINGS territory over the weekend. Friday's North Carolina event got halted by mothernature just as the consi's were on the track. It's been subsequently rescheduled for the first Tuesday night in October.

On Saturday Steve Francis kept the grease hot in South Georgia putting Dale Beitler owned # 19 'Reliable Painting, Valvoline, Brittchar Trucking, VP Racing Fuels' sponsored Rocket / Custom powered, Pontiac GTO in victory lane for the 4th time this season. Unfortunately for Francis, current WoOLM series points leader Darrell Lanigan was rite there behind him, to finish second, which keeps the fellow Kentuckian in 11th in the Top 5 tallying ranks. Shane Clanton and TEAM ZERO hench-man Brady Smith collected a pair of weekend 3rd place nods respectfully, with John Blankenship and KID-ROCKET Josh Richards obtaining respectful 4th's & 5th's this weekend. Wednesday and Thursday the National RANKINGS follows the WoOLM series to 78th & 79th races on the $10,000. to-WIN or higher guidelined schedule. Bulls Gap, TN's neighbor Bristol, host the NASCAR boys Saturday night, so Joe Loven cranks-up his Bull-Ring the Volunteer Speedway for a pair of Scorcher's. Saturday both the WoOLM's and the Lucas Oil Dirtcar's series' are in action in Ohio and Kentucky respectfully.
