This is addressed to the fellow members and our board members. I have just visited all of the websites of the tracks that we have discussed running at to find out if we are racing anywhere. Can't go to our website because there is no schedule there. I found that we have 6 races scheduled and are invited to join with other associations for 1 race and possibly a second race. They are Pevely on June 11, Montgomery County on May 30 and September 4, Tri-city on June 1, and Macon on September 3 & 4. Our invitation is to Lincoln, IL on May 6, and possibly August 28. Why can't we get a track to run us on a regular basis, even one Saturday night a month, maybe in "southern" Missouri? If our president can't find time to deal with this, maybe one or more of our board members should step in to do it. It looks like our car is going to spend more time in the trailer than on the track. If we were in this for the money, we wouldn't be racing dwarf cars. We just want to go racing.
 
I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything from the SMDCA lately, hopefully the dates fill up soon.

FYI - ;) While the dwarfs run at Doe Run on Fridays, this is an open race for all dwarf owners and not under the sanction of SMDCA.

Don't know who you are and I really don't care. My name is Ron Wick and I am the President. I have tried to book races for 4 months and can get no response from race tracks. Part of the problem is because the racers want to run their mouths and not their race cars. I have tried to resign and no one will step up to take the job. If you think you can do a better job, get off your ***** and call me and I will gladly turn over all track contacts and the schedule. As far as no schedule on the web site, that's because no one would step forward to manage and update the web site. I have a volunteer (not a racer) who has been working on a new design. I'm sure he would gladly turn this over too. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Please e-mail me your address so I can forward all the information and you can finalize the schedule. I want to race too! As far as other board members stepping up, last year in our absence, several people did step forward to help out - Vince, Dom, Tracy, Michelle, Monica. I thought they did an excellent job! Besides, do not believe you are even a member of SMDC. Have a good day!

Ron, been there and done that. I understand EXACTLY what you are saying and where you are coming from. From somebody who has had to work with Mr. Wick and the association I can tell you they ALWAYS present a very positive image and they are very easy to work with. It's a whole new world out there right now with area tracks. Everything from increased insurance rates and mandatory improvements have put the pinch on everyone. If you are not a regular part of track's racing program you are going to find it hard to latch onto a place to race.
 
they race every friday night at fulton missouri as well,get about 15 of them a week.good luck to you guys..
