BRASSTOWN, NC (October 17, 2017)-The Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will get back to action this Saturday Night on October 21st at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park in Blue Ridge, Ga. as the tour will race 40 Laps for $4,000-to-Win and $400-to-start.
In addition to the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Super Late Models, the Crate Late Models, Hobby 602, Street Stock, Pony, Front Wheel Drive and Beginner class will also race that evening.
Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga. is the current series points leader over David Payne of Murphy, N.C. Payne won the Schaeffer's Oil Iron-Man Championship series event back on May 13 as a cousin tour of the Southern Nationals Series presented the $3,000 race.
Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.V. is the most recent series winner as he captured the biggest win of his young racing career last Saturday Night at Ponderosa Speedway in Kentucky collecting $15,000 during the 27th Annual Fall Classic.
Adult general admission for this event is $20.00 while adult pit passes are $35.00 per person. The pit gates open at 3:00 pm while the grandstand gates open at 4:00 pm. The drivers meeting is slated for 6:00 pm and hot laps will roll out around 6:30 pm.
The tire rule for the Super Late Models at Blue Ridge will be: Hoosier 1300, 1350 and 1600 (right rear option) along with the American Racer 44, 48 and 56 (right rear option). All non-qualifiers receive $50 tow money. The entry fee for the series is $100.
At each series event, the highest finishing CT525 engine and All Steel/SPEC engine will receive a $200 Bonus from the series.
