CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (March 1) – Performance Bodies adds prizes for drivers in a seventh division to its IMCA awards program this season.

The $18,000-plus worth of awards given by the Cedar Falls, Iowa, high automotive parts retailer and race car body manufacturer will include gift cards for top three finishers in the Mach-1 Sport Compact class.

The national champion gets $100, with $50 going to both the runner-up and third-place finisher.

"Adding Sport Compacts to an already stout provision of contingency awards in other divisions solidifies Performance Bodies' position near the top of our year-end prize roster,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “They have always looked for new ways to reach out to IMCA members and this year will again give away thousands in tangible products at our national banquet."

In its 31st season as a partner with the sanctioning body, Performance Bodies returns to national decal programs for both the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Drivers in both divisions are required to display two Performance Bodies decals on their race car to be eligible for any post-season contingencies.

Second through sixth place finishers overall and the second through fourth finishing rookies in each of the five Modified regions receive an MD3 nosepiece or a spruce-up special package, which includes two doors and two quarter panels and is valued at $229.

Top 10 finishers in both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car regions, the top 10 in both Hobby Stock regions and national rookies of the year in both divisions receive nosepiece and headlight decal kits worth $135 each.
Second through sixth place drivers in national standings and rookie of the year runners-up for both Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods also earn the MD3 nosepiece or spruce-up special package option.

Top 10 drivers in the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models get nosepiece and headlight decal kits valued at $150.

Information about Performance Bodies products is available by calling 800 722-4641 and at the www.performancebodies.com website.

Decals will be included in packets mailed from the IMCA home office beginning this month. Deadline for submitting rookie of the year applications is Aug. 1.

Performance Bodies, Five Star Bodies give MD3 nose pieces

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Performance Bodies and Five Star Bodies have renewed an award program for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMod drivers.

Each of the five Modified regional champions and rookies of the year, and both SportMod national champions and rookies of the year receive MD3 Modified nosepieces.

The MD3 nose piece for those three divisions was introduced and first awarded last year.

“This is an excellent complement to the Performance Bodies contingency award program,” noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “That extensive program recognizes second through sixth place finishing drivers in regional Modified and national SportMod standings, as well as runners-up in rookie points.”

More information is available by calling Performance Bodies at 800 722-4641.
