SANTA PAULA, Calif. (Feb. 4) – Awards for Sport Compact competitors are the latest addition to Jaz Products’ IMCA contin¬gency award program for 2011.
Top five finishers in national standings for the Mach-1 four cylinder class, as well as the Late Model, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Southern SportMod divisions will receive product certificates from the Santa Paula, Calif., high performance parts manufacturer and retailer.
National champions earn $500 certificates, with $300 for second, $200 for third, $100 for fourth and $75 for fifth.
The same award structure will be in place for each of the five IMCA Modified regions, as Jaz returns to the national decal program for the open wheeled division.
Modified drivers must display two Jaz decals in designated locations on their race car to be eligible. Jaz certificates worth a total of $12,925 will be mailed from the IMCA home office after point standings become official in October.
In addition to fuel cells, Jaz manufactures seats and pit accessories, and retails safety equipment, seat belts, fuel accesso¬ries and race car plumbing. Information about those products is available by calling 805 525-8800 and at the www.jazproducts.com website.
"While there are very few racing components on a Sport Compact, Jaz Products manufactures a number of items that will increase the safety in that division,” noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Including those drivers in this program is important to maintain a high level of safety across the board in each of our divisions."
