Springfield Raceway's March Madness-MLRA/MARS And UMP Late Model Points Offered/USRA A-Mods And Much

Springfield,Mo.-March Madness hits the "Quick-Quarter" of the Springfield Raceway this Sat March 24th with the running of the 1st ever March Madness event featuring the opening battle between the MLRA and MARS Super Late Model Regional Series for 2012.
This will be the opening points race for the MLRA Series and round number 3 for the MARS Series with $3,000 going to the winner along with UMP National points being awarded for the Late Models.The tire rule will be the Hoosier WRS D55 or the Hoosier LM40.Last season in the 2 events held at Springfield Raceway it was Al Purkey and John Anderson grabbing wins.The win helped Anderson turn the corner to grab the Championship for the MLRA while Republic's Brad Looney was able to lay claim to his first ever MARS Championship in their final points event.
Support action will also feature the USRA A-Modifieds as they compete for a $500 to win and $90 to start Main Event,but also USRA National points will be awarded for the High-Horse power of the open-wheeled cars with all USRA rules in place.
B-Modifieds will race it out for a $300 to win and $50 to start feature while the popular and ever growing Midwest Modz making their first event of the season in a $125 to win and $35 to start feature event.THe newest young kids class of the Young Lions Legend Cars will compete.This class is set for kids 12-16 to compete in Legend Cars and have a place to be able to learn and race.With many kids wanting to move-up from Go-Karting and trying to find an affordable class at a level playing field,the Young Lions class will provide that chance.
The Grandstand gates open at 4PM and Adult Admission to this event is only $20 for Adults while kids 6-12 are $5 and under 6 Free.
The pit gates open at 1:30 while local Drivers metting will be held at 4:40.Hot laps are slated to start at 5PM and Racing action underway at 6PM.Drivers draw cut-off is set for 5:15 and draw will be in the pit area at the trailer.Passing points will be used to set the feature line-ups.
Pit Passes will be $35 for this event and A-Modified drivers will need to either have a USRA License or purchase a Temp license for only $10 at the track.

The Midwest top Regional Late models drivers are expected to be on hand including Defending MARS Champion Brad Looney,MLRA Champion John Anderson,Former MARS Champion Terry Phillips in his Bloomquist Car coming off a Third palce finish in the Turkey Classic,Pelican 100 winner Sat night Jesse Stovall,Tony Jackson Jr,David Turner,Brandon McCormick,Show-Me Series King pin Justin Wells and many others from a 4-5 State Area.
