Springfield,Mo.-The Quick Quarter Mile Dirt oval of the SpringfieldRaceway is gearing-up for the opening race of the 2009 season on April 18th featuring the popular Race Brothers Show-Me Racin Series LateModels.
The popular Midwest LateModel Series features tight competition and strong car counts.Heading the field will be defending Series champion Leslie Essary of Crane,dirt Hall of famer Ken Essary of Cape Fair,2 time IMCA National LateModel Champion Justin Wells of Aurora,Modified standout Rex Merritt of Billings,Kevin Henson of Marionville,Shane Essary of Aurora,Conner Ward of Witchita,Kansas and many others.
Racing action will also feature USRA Modifieds,Bombers,Sport Mods,and LegendCars.Pitgates will open at 2PM with the Grandstands opening at 4PM.Hotlaps will start at 5:15 with racing to start at a special 6PM starting time.
