Sprints, Midgets & Late Models roll into I-55 Raceway on Wednesday, June 14th!

Pevely, MO (June 6, 2006) Compton Roofing presents NASCAR Night at I-55 Raceway on Wednesday, June 14th. Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace and one additional NASCAR driver will be on hand to sign autographs before the event. Schrader and Wallace will also compete in the UMP Late Model division.

This Wednesday night special event will feature UMP Late Models, Winged Sprint Cars and the O'Reilly POWRi Midget Series. The late models will run under the UMP rules and will be a UMP point and track point event. The midgets will follow the O'Reilly POWRi Series rules and will be a point event for that series. The Winged Sprint Cars will run under the St. Francois County Raceway rules which features full blown 410 sprints. The SFCR tire rule will be in effect for this event in which the right rear tire must be Hoosier brand and a 105/18/15 medium or hard compound.

It marks the first time since June 7, 2000 that a midget series has competed at I-55 Raceway. In that event, Sarah McCune raced to the win after Tony Stewart blew a right rear tire in the closing laps.

Pit gates open at 4pm and grandstands open at 5pm. Racing is set to start at 7pm. Admission is $20 with kids 12 and under FREE. Pit admission will be $30.
