St. Charles Post article on Fan Club

excellent article... brought back some memories,both good and not-so-good. i was there that day in springfield, was actually standing by the truck that was being used to tension the cable. i remember the cable laying across the track, as the dirt cars (now silver crown) were qualifying, and as they were rushing to stop the car on the track before it came upon the cable laying across the track. the fan club has a rich history of events, people, etc. please join and support it.thanks to eileen for posting this. art knepper.
