One final note is that the entire staff of the STARS Battle of the Bluegrass, its member drivers and race promoters want to send our thoughts and prayers to the family of longtime Kentucky racer, Billy Childers of Lexington, KY who passed away as the result of an automobile accident on his way home to Lexington from the rained out STARS Battle of the Bluegrass event at Half Mountain Speedway last Saturday Night, August 30. Billy won numerous races and track championships during his career and will be considered one of the best from the Bluegrass State.
