Steve Francis World of Outlaws Late Model Series Atomic Motor Speedway Review

(Ashland, KY) Steve Francis, driver of the #15 Valvoline and Mopar sponsored Freeport Recycling Centers and Action Auto Mart Rocket Dodge Intrepid produced back to back A-main top-10 finishes at Atomic Motor Speedway (March 13 and 14) for round five and six of the inaugural World of Outlaws Late Model Series 2004 tour.

Francis scored a 5th place finish in the A-main feature on March 13th before taking his Dodge to a win in the sixth heat race. The Kentucky Colonel followed up the next day, with a win in the fourth heat race and rolled to the March 14th A-main checkered flag in 7th place.

Steve’s duel top-10 finishes puts the Kentucky dirt ace in 5th place in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship point standings, just 14 points behind the leader.

Steve and crew will be back in World of Outlaws Late Model Series action next weekend (March 26-27) for the non-sanctioned Duayne Hommel Benefit presented by Hossier Tire South, a $3,000 to win 35 lap event at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN. The action will continue the following evening (March 27) at the high banked oval of Volunteer Speedway for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series 60 lap - $10,000 to win event.
