StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Round Up For July 4

CLARKSVILLE, TN – Herman Reynolds was the winner Friday night at Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS, and took over the point lead in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region. Reynolds took over the top spot from Talbert Goldman, who finished second at Southern Speedway.

Jason Wilson continues to lead the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region, after taking the win on Friday night at Childersburg Speedway in Childersburg, AL.

Both Reynolds and Goldman have competed in over 16 events, and can now only score points for finishes better than their previous worst finish. Reynolds has a nine-point lead over Goldman.

Goldman finished third on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS, and Reynolds finished right behind him in fourth. Goldman then traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on Sunday night, where he finished eighth.

Steven Ashby finished second at Thunderhill Raceway in Lawrenceburg, TN on Saturday night to move up to the third spot with 494 points in 13 starts. Ashby also competes in StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series action at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway in Clarksville, TN.

Owen Stockstill moved up to the fourth spot with 488 points in 13 starts at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, Whynot Motorsports Park, and Southern Speedway. Tony Albright from Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway dropped to the fifth position with 478 points in 11 starts. Kevin Watts, who competes at Pike County Speedway, is sixth with 455 points in 12 starts.

Landon Frith is seventh with 430 points in 11 starts at Swinging Bridge Raceway in Jackson, MS and Pike County Speedway. Jarrette Gunn was the winner on Saturday night at Swinging Bridge Raceway, and is eighth with 412 points in 11 starts. Gunn has also competed in StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series action at Pike County Speedway and Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS.

Brian Caudle holds down the ninth spot in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region points with 404 points in 11 starts at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway. Scott Tracer picked up the $2,000 top prize on Saturday night at Malden Speedway in Malden, MO to remain tenth in the West Region with 381 points in 10 starts.

In other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region action over the weekend, T.K. King picked up a pair of wins at different Columbus, MS tracks. King was the winner on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway, and on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

Lucky Keeton was the winner on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park, and Davin Bates won on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway. Roger Brewer took the win on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway.

In the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region, Wilson has 712 points in 16 starts at Childersburg Speedway and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL. Wilson leads John Pierce by 71 points. Pierce, who also competes at Childersburg and Talladega, has 641 points in 16 starts.

Carlton Freeman, another Childersburg and Talladega competitor, is third with 632 points in 15 starts. Jimmy Elkins is fourth with 576 points earned in 16 starts at Childersburg and Talladega. Logan Yates is fifth with 556 points in 14 starts at Childersburg and Talladega. Buddy George is sixth with 473 points in 14 starts at Talladega and Childersburg.

Tim Staples is in the seventh spot with 411 points earned at Talladega Short Track in 11 starts. Adam Martin is eighth with 404 points in nine starts at Talladega and Childersburg, and Steve Kirk is ninth with 382 points in 11 starts at Talladega Short Track.

Chris Hill rounds out the top ten in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region with 380 points earned in 11 starts at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Fyffe, AL and Talladega Short Track.

Gathan Burns took the win on Saturday night at Thunder Mountain Speedway in his first StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series start of the season.
