Holzhauer Auto and Motorsports Group To Sponsor Junior Dragster Shootout!
(First Time Event Will Run Once A Month This Summer)
Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway announced a partnership with Holzhauer
Auto and Motorsports Group of Nashville, Illinois for the 2005 Junior Dragster Summer
Shootout. The event will consist of three points' races with the first place winner in each
class taking home a $1,000 prize.
Holzhauer Auto and Motorsports Group will sponsor three races that will run on June 10,
July 8 and August 12 in the middle of Gateway's Regular Bracket Race Season. Prize
money will be awarded to both the 8-9 year old class and the 10 and older class. Each
night's winner in the 8-9 year old class will be awarded $50 and a $200 savings bond,
while the runner-up will receive a free tech card. $100 and a $200 savings bond will be
awarded to the winner of the 10 year old and up class with $50 going to the runner-up.
The overall winner in each class will be announced following the August 12 race and will
receive a $1,000 savings bond. Savings bonds in the amounts of $200-500 will also be
awarded to the second through fourth place finishers.
"We just wanted to give back to the community by creating a large summer event for the
kids," stated Brad Holzhauer, President of Holzhauer Auto and Motorsports Group.
