This Friday Night September 4th The UMP Open Wheel Modifieds take center stage with night 1 of the Summer Sizzler Series at Paducah International Raceway. This will be the second appearance of the Sizzler at the high banks of PIR. Last years winner of the Summer Sizzler Randal Sweeney of Clifty, KY will have to contend with PIR points leader Todd Miller from Paducah, Ky. Other drivers expected to be here are Justin Houston, Clayton Miller, Paul Miles, Levi Kissinger, Everett Bradham, Steve Ladd and Ron Wall along with several other drivers all chasing the $1,000 to win Feature race at PIR
The Summer Sizzler Series will race at Paducah International Raceway, Western Kentucky Speedway in Nebo, Ky. and Windy Hollow Speedway in Owensboro, Ky. All events will be run for UMP Points and last year bonus points were awarded at each event except 1. This years 3 race tour looks to bring a larger car count and crowd to each event.
Running with the UMP Modfieds on Friday Night will be the UMP Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinder Warriors and the Kentucky Vintage Association. Pit Gates will open at 4:00pm. Grandstands at 5:00pm and the racing action will start at 7:00pm. Admission for adults will be $10, kids 12 and under will be free to the grandstands. Pit admission will be $25. Paducah International Raceway is located off of exit 11 on I-24 in Paducah, Ky.
