Dominates Dirt Late Model Racing in 2006
Marcus Hook, PA (November 21, 2006)- Sunoco Race Fuels and Team Sunoco drivers dominated the dirt
late model racing events in 2006 winning numerous championships and numerous major dirt late model
events in 2006. Team Sunoco drivers were victorious all across the country and continued to prove
that Sunoco’s HCR Plus is the fuel of choice for champions. Sunoco Race Fuels not only supports
numerous drivers but hundreds of race tracks and numerous racing series all over the country. Sunoco
Race Fuels handed out a special award this weekend in Indianapolis at the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt
Series Championship banquet. Earl Pearson Jr. the 2006 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion and
member of Team Sunoco, received the special “Race For Gas” award presented by Sunoco for
accumulating the most Sunoco Race For Gas points throughout the year on the national touring series.
Sunoco Race Fuels was the official fuel of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2006 and a
special “Sunoco Race For Gas” points system was kept during the year awarding points to the top
three highest finishing Sunoco drivers at each event. Sunoco Race Fuel drivers won 13 events on the
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2006.
