(DuQuoin, IL) The English name is well known for visiting victory lane at Paducah International Raceway and on Friday night yet another English made his first visit to victory lane at the famed high-banked 3/8 mile track! With 29 C.A.R.S. Crate Late Models on hand, Tanner English, the son of former UMP Late Model National Champion Terry English, was able to earn a ninth place starting position in the feature event. Tanner started working his way through the field like a seasoned veteran and when the checkered flag waved it was all Tanner English taking his first ever C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series Crate Late Model Feature Event Win at Paducah International Raceway. This is the second time Tanner has visited victory lane in the C.A.R.S. WRS this season. His first win of the year came at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Ky. Second place position went to #13H Scott Hutchinson with #12 Kevin Poole taking third. C.A.R.S. WRS Heat Races were won by Nick Lyons of Centralia, IL, Scott Hutchinson of Johnston City, IL and Ray Emling, Jr of DuQuoin, IL. Championship contender Jeff Walston of Paducah, Ky won the Dash Event and looked to be the man to beat in the feature until he was caught up in a crash with lapped traffic on lap thirteen

On Sunday the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series made it's second visit to Windy Hollow Speedway in Owensboro, KY after last weeks rain out and with seventeen C.A.R.S. Crate Late Models on hand the packed house of fans at Windy Hollow Speedway were presented with some exciting door-to-door racing action.

The C.A.R.S. Jolly went on to win the first heat race followed by Aaron Heck. The second heat was won by #16 Shane Cockrum with Daniel Heck winning the third heat race.

When the green flag flew on the feature event it was the #U2 of Jolly and the #16 of Cockrum battling it out for the lead.
