MONETT MO. Terry Phillips came home with his 13th O'Reilly Auto Parts Mid-America Racing Series win of the season. The win came at the 32nd Annual Budweiser 4-State Dirt Track Championship at the Monett Speedway. Phillips led the 40 Lap event from wire to wire. Unfortunatly for Phillips, Bill Frye finished second behind Phillips, minimizing Phillip's gain in the point race.

Brandon McCormick earned his second pole of the season, with Phillips to his outside. Phillips moved to the lead as the green flag appeared, with McCormick, Mike Brown, Justin Wells, and Frye giving chase. Wells and Frye both got by Brown on the second lap, then the yellow flag waved on lap three for debris in turn two.

Phillips moved out to a five carlength advantage by lap four. Frye took the third spot from Wells in turn four on lap six. Phillips had improved his lead to fifteen carlengths by lap 10.

Phillips was just starting to lap slower cars, when the caution came out on lap 12 for Shane Essary, who was turned around in turn four. Brown improved to fourth on the restart, then Frye used the high side to get by McCormick for second in turn four on lap 13. McCormick re-took second on lap 14, then Frye re-claimed the spot in turn two on lap 18..

Phillips was back to working through traffic by lap 22, and had built a half straightaway advantage by lap 25. Phillips worked by a pair of slower cars by lap 27, then the caution flag waved on lap 28 for Jeff Floyd, who had a flat tire. Mike Brown gave up fourth spot during the caution, retiring from the race.

Terry Phillips had re-opened a five carlength lead by lap 30. Phillips was back to a half straightaway advantage by lap 35. The caution flag waved again on lap 37 as Jeff Floyd had gotten turned around on the backstretch after contact with another driver.

Phillips wasted no time in re-opening a five carlength advantage and drove the rest of the way to the checkers. Terry Phillips came home with the win, with Bill Frye, Brandon McCormick, Justin Wells, and Charlie Randolph making up the top five. Leslie Essary, Jeff Taylor, Brad Looney, Jeff Floyd, and Dewaine Hottinger rounded out the top ten.
