CAMARGO, IL (7-1-07) – The 25^th Annual UNOH Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by RacingJunk.com is now in the history books. This season proved to fans across the land why Ohio Sprint Speedweek is notorious and has been one of the most anticipated weeks of the summer. Great racing throughout the week, huge crowds, great car counts, perfect weather, and 410 sprint car racing at it’s finest. The history and tradition of this week long event across the state of Ohio will continue into the future as 410 sprint car racing continues to thrive in the Buckeye State.

There were 93 total drivers from 9 different states (Ohio, Arizona, California, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and
Pennsylvania) and Australia who competed throughout the week.

A total of 21 drivers raced all 7 nights: Shane Stewart, Dale Blaney, Rob Chaney, Danny Smith, Dean Jacobs, Brian Paulus, Brandon Martin, Kenny Jacobs, Paul May, Brock Mayes, Greg Wilson, Chad Blonde, Brian Ellenberger, Phil Gressman, Chris Andrews, Bill Rose, Craig Mintz, Ben Gregg, Greg Dahlman, and Bruce White. Most of them started at K-C Raceway prior to kicking off Ohio Sprint Speedweek, making it 8 consecutive, grueling days of racing.

There were another six drivers who raced 6 of 7 nights: Byron Reed, Mark Keegan, Dustin Daggett, Gus Wasson, Caleb Griffith, and Troy Little.

Amazingly, 13 drivers qualified for the A-main every night this week:
Shane Stewart, Dale Blaney, Rob Chaney, Danny Smith, Dean Jacobs, Brian Paulus, Brandon Martin, Kenny Jacobs, Paul May, Brock Mayes, Greg Wilson, Chad Blonde, and Brian Ellenberger. Our hats off to those competitors on a job well done.

The 2007 Ohio Sprint Speedweek Champion is Indianapolis, Indiana’s Shane Stewart who drives the larry Wood/Junior Holbrook owned #8h machine.
Shane competes nearly full time with the All Stars in 2007.

The 2007 Ohio Sprint Speedweek race winners: Attica (Dale Blaney), Wayne County (Shane Stewart), Waynesfield (Paul May), Hilltop (Chad Blonde), Fremont (Dale Blaney), Limaland (Dale Blaney), and Eldora (Ed Lynch Jr.).
