The FASTRAK Racing Series just never seems to stop giving back to the teams as now $6000 in tow money is guaranteed in addition to the purse each night and $250,000 in point fund money.

Over $250,000.00 is up for grabs in October. Know as the “richest point fund for grass roots racing’ in the country, the popularity of the FASTRAK Late Model Series still continues to grow every day. Expecting over 70 dirt late models each day will surely make this one of the largest events in the nation. The side by side restarts running under the choose format makes it one of the more competitive events all year long and is certainly a fan favorite. Several fans and drivers were quoted as saying it was the single best race they had ever seen. That you didn’t know who was going to win it until the checkered flag fell.

The tow money will be divided equally among all the teams that did not make the show in nights 2 and 3 of the Grand Nationals. “This will help the teams that made the trip but for whatever reason didn’t make the shows” stated FASTRAK Founder Stan Lester. “I think all of our teams see that we are doing our best to help everyone and that every team is important. They are all FASTRAK teams and that means it’s our responsibility to make sure they too, are taken care of”. *Teams must compete in all three Grand National races to be eligible for the tow money,

Nights 2 And 3 will be the challenge of the entire year with teams from 23 states expected to make the trip. Each Region will hold its on NIGHT 1 this year differing from the 2006 Grand Nationals. Then two to three weeks later everyone from across the country comes together for the ending races of the 2007 season. The team with the most points at the end of the three races earns the $50,000 to win first place prize paying a possible fifty positions. 2006 Grand National Champion Steve “Hot Rod” LaMance took home the prize which was the largest in his over thirty years of racing. LaMance was a many time Super Late Model Champion but decided from a standpoint of economics, FASTRAK was definitely the way to go in the future. “Think about it” said LaMance. “I took a 1999 model car, a open trailer, stayed at my home track all year with the exception of a few touring races I went too, had a pick up truck and open trailer, bought only 10 tires all year long and won $50,000 plus another $32,000 in contingencies. I mean man, this was with a $5000 engine. How much better does it get than that”?

LaMance was definitely the “story book” ending to a remarkable year of the FASTRAK Late Model Series. LaMance was helped by many manufacturers throughout the 2007 season because of his accomplishments with the series in 2006. “I have never had that much factory support from sponsors” said LaMance. “A lot of people have helped me during my racing career but FASTRAK has become so popular the amount of interest was really surprising”.

Time will only tell who the 2007 FASTRAK Grand National Champion will be. The three race shoot out format has become one of the most popular races in the entire country. Fans are sure to be pleased as it is as much a show as it is racing. “Expect to see some different things this year” said Lester. Our teams are second to none but without our fans we just don’t exist. The fans are incredibly important and we will give them one of the best shows they have ever seen. I know some people may not have heard of some of these drivers but come on and watch them. Give them a real opportunity to show the fans what they can do. Not all of them have the funds to go super racing but that does not mean they aren’t good drivers. Our drivers are not good, but great. You take EQUAL engines, EQUAL tires and great drivers and you are guaranteed to see some incredible racing. Add the autograph sessions, fireworks, side by side restarts and it is a recipe for success. The teams are racing for a piece of the $250,000 but the fans will get a lot more than their moneys worth. This is a three day shoot out you won’t forget for a long, long time.

The 22 State $50,000 Battle Begins!

FASTRAK Dirt Late Model $50k to win, nights 2 and 3 Oct 17th-20th.

In what has quickly become one of more contested and fan friendly events in the country, the FASTRAK Grand National Championship is set for the final two nights of competition.

At the end of night three, a Grand National Champion will be named and that driver will receive $50,000 in cash not including thousands of dollars of contingency prizes.

Drivers from across the country will be attending, representing their particular Region and or FASTRAK weekly sanctioned track. Track owners and promoters are calling everyday anticipating that possibly one of their weekly track drivers might become the Grand National Champion for 2007.

“Can you imagine what this would do for our track” said Green Valley Speedway owner Dennis Harker. “If one of our guys could win that $50,000, there will be a lot of cars at our track next year, to say the very least.

Then it becomes very “real” to everyone. FASTRAK has grown incredibly in a very short period of time and its things like this that continues to boost its growth. I was happy to have night one at Green Valley this year. The race was won by 30 inches at the finish like. How often do you see that this day and time? I sure hope one of our guys brings home the prize”.

Things quickly changed in night one of the Southern and Mid East Regions as some of the toughest competitors did not make the 24 car starting field.

For what ever reason they did not make the starting field in night 1, let’s just say it sure did tighten up the rest of the Championship. Only 2 days left and it is ALL on the line. All $250,000 up for grabs and $50,000 to the eventual winner.

Not one team is out of the running yet, as anyone could have a flat or not qualify well. No one knows what might happen until these two events are finished. Last years Grand National Champion, Hot Rod LaMance, won the champion by only 2 points so everything is up in the air as of right now!

Here is how it works.

Night 1 is held in each particular FASTRAK Region around the country.

Those races are scored by the normal FASTRAK point system of 35 to win, dropping 1 point per position with non qualifiers earning themselves 10 points for attempting to qualify.

Teams have raced all year earning points to start the 3 day shoot-out with. Each of the 3 nights is scored by the 35 point system, add the points they started with (max of 5 and min of 1) and the driver with the most points, wins it all. $50,000 in cash plus prizes!!!!

Weds night at Mountain Raceway Park , Maryville TN look for over 80 cars to be there for ‘open practice’ for their shot at the BIG PRIZE. Practice will he held on Weds so all the fans and teams alike can get a “little taste” of what to expect the next evening.

Thursday night the event gets underway as the teams from across the nation compete against each other for the first time all season long. They have heard about each other, they know each others names, but now and only now have they ever been one on one in battle.

The format will be ‘fast and furious’ as hot laps will begin at 5:00 PM with qualifying, heats, consis and the 50 lap main event following immediately.

The teams will load up afterwards and head to Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap TN for Friday practice and qualifying. Then the heats, consis and 75 lap “Grand Finale” will follow on Saturday.

At the end of the Saturday nights race, points will be checked and double checked, then the announcement will be made for the $50,000 FASTRAK Grand National Champion.

Fans will have special treats each night as every heat, consi and main lap will be ‘double file restarts’ rain under the choose format until the half way point in each event. Car numbers are called out in order, starting with the leader. Each competitor chooses low or high in where they restart.

The first 5 or 6 cars may stay in one line if they think the bottom or top groove is better which could lead to the 7th place driver moving all the way to the front row to restart.

Fans will also see some of the most “incredible” driver introductions ever held in dirt racing as they will be announced to the fans in a very different method.

As the teams take off for the main event, every late model at the track will participate in the 4 wide salute, making it a possible 20 rows or more of the 4 wide “salute to the fans”.

The fireworks during that time will be the most phenomenal ever seen in FASTRAK history.

This is an once in a lifetime experience for the fans, as the Grand National Championship races are moved from track to track each year making the event even more competitive.

Be sure to be there to experience the FASTRAK GRAND NATIONALS. Fans are coming from across the country to watch their teams compete so be there each night as early as possible to ensure great seating
