Wheatland, MO (May 2nd, 2007)-The "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", the Lucas Oil Speedway springs back into action this Saturday night, May 5th with the last week of ultra competitive weekly racing action prior to the $25,000 to win Diamond of the Dirt Late Model Race scheduled for May11th-12th. Grandstand gates open at 5:00 this Saturday with Hot Laps scheduled to begin at 6:30 and racing to follow.

The Bolivar Herald-Free Press proudly presents the evenings activities with all weekly racing divisions in action on the state of the art semi-banked 3/8 mile clay oval. Classes in action will be the Miller Lite-ULMA Late Models, the Pitts Homes A-Modifieds, the TCI Transmission Factory Stocks, and the quickly growing Hobby Stock Class. Last week's winners included Eric Turner in both the A-Modifieds and Factory Stocks, Rylan Long in the Late Models, and Nathan Vaughn in the Hobby Stocks.



The fans will also be treated to the "Jeepers Creepers" race on the go-cart track at intermission. One lucky driver from each division will have the opportunity to race a few laps on the go-cart track on, yes a mechanics creeper with the winner receiving a $99.99 gift certificate for some cool shades, compliments of Eyemart in the Fremont Center in Springfield. We will also be doing the fan ride along in the retro '56 Chevy.



Upcoming Events: May 11th-12th will feature the signature event of the 2007 racing season at the Lucas Oil Speedway, The Superchip's Diamond of the Dirt Late Model Race presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts. All of the top stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, along with drivers from across the nation will be on hand to battle it out for the $25,000 to win top prize. A-Modifieds will also be in action for $2,000 to win. May 18th-19th will feature a different kind of horsepower as the Barnes PRCA rodeo rides into town for two thrilling nights of rodeo action. The month of May will wrap up on May 26th with a full schedule of weekly racing action along with the Pomme De Terre Car Show from 8:00am-1:00pm.



Children 11 and under are admitted free to the speedway. Admission price for adults is $12, seniors are $8, and Students 12-17 are also $8. Season passes are available for $200 for students and seniors, adult season passes are $300. Pit passes are $25.
