The Heat is On in July for the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series

Lexington, KY-July 2, 2004- After taking a short break to celebrate America's birthday, the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series will return to action with two events just added to the schedule, along with one July date that was on the original schedule with action that should prove to be as hot as the Dog Days of Summer weather.

The first year group that is quickly becoming the premier touring series for Modifieds in the state of Kentucky will return to action with one of the two dates that has been added to the schedule in the month of July on Friday night, July 16, at Clinton County Speedway, located just outside of Albany, KY in the community of Alpha, KY off of KY Highway 90 at the Clinton/Wayne County border. This will be the tour's second stop at the 3/10 mile clay oval, as Ricky Arms of Moss, TN won the May 28 stop at Clinton County. The next July date was originally on the schedule as the "BoB Mod Squad" will join the O'Reilly Auto Parts NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series at the Soggy Bottom Speedway, located just outside of Morgantown, KY on Saturday night, July 24. This will also be the second stop at the Lisa Gabberd promoted 3/8 mile facility, as Jimmy Payne of Glasgow, KY was the winner at Soggy Bottom back on May 22. The final stop in July will be the other July addition to the schedule at the Barren County Speedway on Sunday evening, July 25 for the Kevin Farmer Memorial. Under new management, this will be the first ever Battle of the Bluegrass Modified tour event at the 3/8 mile clay oval located just off of KY Highway 68-80, just west of Glasgow, KY. Each event will pay $1,500 to win and $125 to start and will feature a complete program of Racing Optics Time Trials, Crown Spray Power Heats, O'Reilly Auto Parts B-Mains, and the Lucas Oil A-Main feature event.
