Since acquiring the NEW Capital Speedway in Holts Summit Missouri last winter, Howard Schrock made numerous changes to the historic 3/8mi speedway hoping to bring sprint car racing back to a level in Central Missouri that had not been seen in many years. Some of the biggest improvements included extensive work to the track surface and shape, a new sound system, new P.A. system for the pits, expanding the pits, addition of 1000 seats and paving behind the grandstands, just to name a few. The programs are also more organized and the races are over by 10:30pm. The hard work is paying off as the winged 360 car counts have been on the rise averaging over 24 cars, in turn the NEW Capital Speedway is seeing the crowds grow every week. On Friday, July 25th the NEW Capital Speedway will take the next big step in bringing the track back to the prominence it once had, they will be hosting the first winged 410 race there in 13 years. The All Star Circuit of Champions will be taking on the NCRA and with the new track surface the fans are sure to see a night of great racing. The All Stars have had the closest 410 racing in the country this year and to this point there have been 15 different winners. The Winged Outlaw Warriors (WOW) will also be running in the support role and are sure to provide another exciting race.
