Camargo, IL (12-16-08) - Jason Shank O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director
The O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series has added another piece to the ongoing puzzle this past week as they have brought on Mark Hawk as series Technical Inspector. Hawk is no stranger to the Dirt Late Model world as he brings over 30 years of experience to the series.
"I am extremely pleased that we are able to bring in someone like Mark," Series Director Jason Shank said, "Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the tour. He is well known and well respected throughout the industry and will fit our program perfectly." Shank continued, "We have worked together in the past and have a solid relationship that will lead to drama free days on the road. Mark and I will work together to put the best possible product out there for promoters, drivers, and fans. We are putting the final touches on the 2009 ASLMS Rule Book and should be available on the series website within the next few weeks and the schedule is about 85% completed and should also be available very soon."
Hawk has had numerous duties throughout his years in racing including tech inspector and race director at tracks such as Lernerville Speedway and Challenger Raceway, track and pit lineups and pit steward at Franklin, PA's Tri-City Speedway. Mark also has series experience as he served as a lineup official and race director for over five years.
"Excited," Mark exclaimed when asked about working with the ASLMS.
"I'm excited about working with an organization like the All Stars, with the drivers that have called expressing interest in the series and the schedule we are about to release to the public, it's going to be a good deal for everyone involved. With the experience Jason and I bring to the table and some cooperation from the drivers, we will be able to put on a well organized show. The track promoters and fans will really be in for a treat!"
