Kevin Montgomery, PEORIA, Ariz. (November 16th, 2011) - The Canyon Speedway Stock Car Shootout, featuring the top Stock Car drivers from around the region all aiming for Stock Car supremacy along with the largest Stock Car purse in the state, is just around the corner.
The best of the best will tackle Canyon Speedway's 3/8-mile clay oval over the course of the two day event on November 26th and 27th with nearly $20,000 in "A Feature" money alone to be distributed throughout the weekend.
X-Mods, Super stocks, Mini Stocks, Bombers and the Pure Stocks will all take to the track for the biggest event of the year.
This year's edition will not only pay unprecedented purses for Sunday's feature event but will also, for the first time, pay a full purse for Saturday's preliminary event.
Participants will take part in qualifying heat races and feature events on Saturday with the top 6 for each division being locked into Sunday's championship shootout. The remainder of the participants will battle for the final spots of Sundays feature in several last chance races to determine the 20-car fields.
