Tight Points Race Highlights NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series' Trip to 201 Speedway
LEXINGTON, KY -- The NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series will make their second appearance of the year at the 201 Speedway this Saturday, August 5th. Heading into the event, Jimmy Payne is at the front of an incredibly tight points race as the top four drivers are separated by a mere 70 points.
A complete show for the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series will be on tap at the Mike Osborne-promoted facility. Hot Laps will be immediately followed by Racing Optics Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the A-Main paying $1,500 to win. The purse for this event is as follows:

Defending Series Champion Joey Kramer is just 20 points behind in second while Don Adams sits just 20 points behind Kramer in third. 2004 Series Champion Kelly Warren is a mere 30 points behind Adams in fourth as Tommy Bailey rounds out the top five, just 145 points out of first place.
