Tyrone, Georgia (02/09/10) – Tony Knowles is set to travel south this weekend with his #26 RSD Enterprises/SAE Parts/Rocket/Custom Racing Engine Super Late Model for the 39th Annual DIRTCar Nationals at Volusia County Speedway.
Tony was last in action three weeks ago on Saturday, January 23rd as he traveled to Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 10th Annual Winter Classic. After locking into the fifth starting spot for the 40 lap, $3,000 to win feature via time trials, Tony raced his way as high as the fourth position early in the event before slipping to an 8th place finish by the time that the checkered flag dropped.
This weekend, Thursday-Saturday, February 11th-13th, TKR Motorsports will invade Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida for a trio of Super Late Model events. On Thursday night, the World of Outlaw Super Late Model Series opens their 2010 campaign with a $10,000 to win event. On Friday night, another $10,000 to win event will be held as the evening’s festivities are sanctioned by the UMP DIRTCar Series, and on Saturday night the weekend will conclude with a $10,000 to win event, which will be sanctioned by the World of Outlaw Late Model Series.
