World of Outlaws Champions Steve Kinser, Donny Schatz To Meet Fans on Feb. 25
LAS VEGAS (Feb. 18, 2010) - Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz will appear at the J.D. Byrider in Las Vegas on Thursday (Feb. 25) from 4-6 p.m., PST.
Both drivers are in town to compete in the “The Las Vegas Super Sprint Classic” at The Dirt Track @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS). The two-night program at LVMS includes a complete United States Auto Club (USAC) Sprint Series event on Thursday (Feb. 25) and a World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series program on Friday (Feb. 26).
The drivers will sign autographs and take photos with customers during the visit.
J.D. Byrider has dubbed the event the “Tony Stewart Racing Hauler Showcase” as, in addition to the appearance by Schatz and Kinser, the dealership will host two 53-foot race haulers on location. Each transporter will be open for public view.
KOMP-92.3FM will be broadcasting live from J.D. Byrider from 4-6 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to win tickets to the Las Vegas Super Sprint Classic, the Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Feb. 27, and the Shelby American NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Feb. 28.
Schatz and Kinser have each won six feature events at the half-mile Dirt Track at LVMS. The TSR teammates opened the 2010 WoO campaign by each scoring a win at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., earlier this month. Schatz, the four-time and defending WoO champion, won last year’s Outlaw feature at LVMS. Kinser, a 20-time WoO champion, last won at LVMS in March 2005, when he scored a two-race sweep.
J.D. Byrider, the nation’s largest used car and finance franchise, will continue its 13-year relationship with TSR during the 2010 season.
